England’s Economic Heartland (EEH) is consulting on its Draft Transport Strategy. The consultation ends 6th October at midnight.
EEH is a transport body for the region pictured in the attached screenshot. Its draft transport strategy for the region contains some commendable objectives, such as increasing active travel and digital connectivity. But we feel that its vision of sustainable transport across the region is fatally flawed by its support for the OxCam Arc, its suggested programme of continued road-building and its failure to demonstrate how its “carbon pathways” can keep within a net-zero carbon budget.
If you’d like to respond, the campaigning group, Transport Action Network (TAN), has published a useful and summary of the key points on its website – here.
Please do respond, if you can (TAN has provided a link to the consultation in its blog).
